Invented by a mom trying to get back in shape after pregnancy, the Strollometer is a wireless digital gadget designed to help mobile moms keep track of their daily mileage, speed, and time walked — just like the workout-tracking tools on a treadmill. The display screen snaps on to a stroller's handlebars and picks up info from a magnetic sensor that attaches to the stroller frame near one of the wheels. It's basically a pedometer specially calibrated for the wheels of a baby stroller. You also get time and temperature readouts, plus maximum and average speed calculations. So moms can make the most of what they're already doing. Now if only they had a gadget that calculated the average calories burned while cleaning up after a runaway toddler's playdate. Maybe in the future... right after they invent the robot car. $39.99 at
